How the stabilizer works
The shake that ruins a clip usually comes from handheld wobble, phone-recording jitter, or a walking shot that bobs. The stabilizer tracks dozens of points across the picture and measures how the camera moved between every pair of frames using optical flow.
It then smooths that motion path and shifts each frame back into line, cancelling the jitter while keeping the intentional movement. A small zoom-crop hides the edges the correction reveals, so the result looks steadier — not artificially frozen. It all runs on your device with real computer-vision tracking, the same class of 2D stabilization desktop editors use.
Choose the strength — from gentle to maximum
Not every clip needs the same fix. A phone recording of a talk might need only a light touch to remove a hand tremor; an action clip shot while running might need heavy smoothing to settle the bounce. The strength control sets how hard to smooth: Gentle keeps most of the natural motion and just removes jitter, while Maximum locks the frame as much as possible.
