Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026. Eziclip runs mostly in your browser, so there is very little to say here — and what there is, we keep plain.
1. Who we are
This website, Eziclip.com (https://eziclip.com), is operated by a sole trader registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 42043424, in the Netherlands (European Union). For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email hello@eziclip.com.
2. How your files are handled
Today, the tools on this site run in your web browser. The videos, audio and images you open are processed on your own device and are not stored on our servers. When you close or reload the page, they are gone from memory.
As the product grows, some features may use a server (for example, heavier processing). Where a tool sends anything to a server, we'll say so plainly in the tool and describe what is processed — no fine print. This page will be updated when that happens.
One thing that stays true either way: nothing you make here is ever used to train an AI model. For the AI features that run in your browser, the models download to your browser the first time you use a tool and then run there; your media isn't sent to an AI provider for those.
If you choose to connect your own AI agent to the Studio — an optional feature you set up yourself — that assistant edits your project through the tools on your device. To do its job it can see your project, including your video and individual frames of it. A connected agent is a third-party service that you choose and control: what it does with what it sees is governed by that provider's terms, not ours, and our "never used to train an AI model" commitment covers us— not a third-party agent you bring. Your source files still aren't uploaded to us, and no agent is connected unless you set one up.
3. What data we actually process
Because there's no account and no sign-up, we hold almost nothing about you. In full, the only data touched is:
- Your files.See section 2 — tools that run in your browser process your files right there and don't send them to us.
- Aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics. We use Plausible to see anonymous, aggregate usage (which pages are visited, roughly from where). It uses no cookies, collects no personal data, and never tracks you across other sites.
- Technical server logs. Our hosting and CDN providers (Vercel, Cloudflare) process standard technical data — IP address, browser type, timestamps — to deliver the site and prevent abuse, as any website does.
- Model downloads. The first time you use an AI tool, the model files are fetched from a content-delivery network (e.g. Hugging Face). That provider sees the download request like any file download; it does not receive your media.
- Local browser storage.Small preferences (your theme, cookie-consent choice, last-used layout) live in your browser's localStorage. They stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
- Style memory (editing preferences). The Studio can remember how you like your videos — a caption preset, a colour look, pacing, music taste, format and free-form style notes — saved by you or by an AI assistant you connect. This profile lives in your browser's local database on your device. If you are signed in, it also syncs to your account alongside your projects — so your style follows you across browsers and devices — and is deleted with your account. Avoid putting personal data in style notes — they are meant for editing preferences. You can clear it at any time: ask your assistant to forget your style, or clear this site's data in your browser.
- Advertising — only if and when enabled. If we show ads, the ad provider (Google AdSense) may set cookies and process data under its own policies. In the EEA and UK, personalised advertising loads only after you consent through the banner (section 4).
4. Cookies & consent
The tools themselves need no cookies, and our analytics is cookieless and anonymous — so the site works fully whether or not you accept anything.
- Essential— stores your consent choice in local storage so we don't ask again. Always on.
- Analytics — cookieless Plausible. On by default where no consent is required; off until accepted in the EEA/UK if we ever switch it to a consent-required mode.
- Advertising — Google AdSense cookies (only if/when ads are enabled). Off until you accept.
In the EEA/UK, non-essential categories load only after you accept them via the consent banner shown on your first visit, presented through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
5. Third parties we rely on
- Vercel & Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
- Plausible — cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics.
- Hugging Face (or equivalent CDN) — serves the AI model files your browser downloads to run tools in your browser.
- Google AdSense — advertising, only if/when enabled and only with your consent in the EEA/UK.
- Buy Me a Coffee — used only if you choose to make a voluntary donation; payment is handled entirely on their platform under their privacy policy. Donations are never required.
- Google reCAPTCHA— guards the sign-in, sign-up and password-reset forms against automated abuse. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not have any to sell.
6. Data retention
We keep no account data because there are no accounts. Aggregate analytics are retained only in non-identifying form. Technical logs are kept for a short period by our hosting providers for security and reliability, per their own retention policies. Anything stored in your browser stays on your device until you clear it.
7. International data transfers
We are based in the Netherlands (EU). Some of the providers above may process limited technical data outside the EEA/UK. Where that happens, transfers rely on lawful mechanisms under the GDPR (adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses). To request transfer documentation, email hello@eziclip.com.
8. Your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@eziclip.com; we respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will address it.
10. Security
The strongest privacy protection here is structural: with no accounts and very little data collected, there is essentially no personal data to breach. The site is served over TLS. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but the surface area is deliberately tiny.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
